Sailor Brinkley-Cook snapped a few poolside Instagram photos on Thursday, clad in a taupe one-piece swimsuit ($110) from the Sports Illustrated Swim collection.

The 22-year-old blond beauty was the spitting image of her supermodel mom, Christie Brinkley, who back in 1977 posed for Vogue wearing a similar peach maillot while lounging on the shore.

Sailor’s fans clearly picked up on the striking resemblance, too. “You look just like your beautiful mom,” one person wrote in the comments, while another joked, “Good DNA for sure.”

Incidentally, 66-year-old Brinkley shared a snap from her 2017 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue shoot just a few days ago. “I was 63 years old, and I was stunned when they asked me to do the legendary Swimsuit issue again!,” she recalled in the caption, adding, “I almost said, ‘no thanks.’”

“I am so lucky and grateful for my career that spans 4 decades,” continued the mega-model, who appeared on an unprecedented three consecutive covers of the magazine starting in 1979 and has posed for the publication nine times in total.

Sailor made her own SI Swimsuit Issue debut in 2017, when she appeared alongside her mom and her half-sister Alexa Ray Joel; she snagged her first solo spread in 2018.
