        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The legendary Rolling Stones got some satisfaction with a new chart-topping song, their first No. 1 hit on iTunes.</p><p class="mol-para-with-font">On Thursday, the band released&nbsp; <strong>“Living in a Ghost Town</strong>,” with an accompanying video, and the track jumped to the top of the&nbsp;iTunes’ song chart, besting recent efforts by Drake, Travis Scott, The Weeknd and Justin Bieber. It was the band&#8217;s first No. 1 hit in 40 years.</p><p>Mick Jagger has opined that he thought the tune “would resonate through the times that we’re living in right now.”</p><p>The Stones had not released a new tune since “Doom and Gloom” and “One More Shot” in 2012. While perfect <strong>for COVID-19 times</strong>, &#8220;Living in a Ghost Town&#8221; was penned last year.</p><p>“We cut this track well over a year ago in L.A. for part of a new album, an ongoing thing,” guitarist Keith Richards told Deadline. “And then s&#8211;t hit the fan [and] Mick and I decided this one really needed to go to work right now and so here you have it.”</p>]]></content:encoded>
