“We hear Vanessa. We love Vanessa. She’s right,” he said in an Instagram post on Thursday. “We will do better to honor her and the character she plays. As well as all of our actors and characters of color.”

Amid the George Floyd protests, Morgan, who plays Toni Topaz on “Riverdale,” said she was “tired of being used as side kick non dimensional characters to our white leads.”

“CHANGE is happening and will continue to happen,” Aguirre-Sacasa, 44, added in his response. “Riverdale will get bigger, not smaller. Riverdale will be part of the movement, not outside it.”

The screenwriter said all of the show’s writers also made a donation to the Black Lives Matter Los Angeles organization.

Morgan retweeted the response, seemingly accepting the apology.

When the 28-year-old first spoke out on Twitter Monday, she also said that she was “tired of how black people are portrayed in Media, tired of us being portrayed as thugs, dangerous or angry scary people.”

A Twitter user pointed out that since her character is part of the LGBTQ community, the show is getting “double the diversity” out of her.

Morgan responded, “Lmao too bad I’m the only black series regular but also paid the least 😂👏🏽 girl i could go on for days.”
