“I went to a party at his house, probably 15 years ago, and I left at like 1 [a.m.],” the “Real Housewives of New York City” star said during a tour via Zoom of her Berkshires mansion, organized by the Museum of Arts and Design. “I came back for brunch at 11 [a.m.] and I said, ‘Peter, you’re wearing the same thing from last night!’ And he said, ‘No, I’m still up from last night.’ And he was fine!”

She added, “He was a great artist, but he was also such a great liver from an era there will never be again.”

During the tour, part of the museum’s COVID-inspired virtual programming, art collector Medley showed off one of Beard’s famous mixed-media images featuring a zebra, which hangs in her living room.

The photographer, who had dementia, disappeared from his Montauk home on March 31. His remains were discovered in nearby woods on Sunday. He was 82.
