        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The &#8220;Real Housewives of New York&#8221; may finally start to reflect the diversity of the city.</p><p>Motivational speaker Bershan Shaw is rumored to be the next woman to hold an apple when &#8220;RHONY&#8221; returns for Season 13, <strong>TMZ reported on Friday</strong>.</p><p>A source close to production told Page Six that Shaw has filmed with &#8220;some of the cast, but nothing is official yet.&#8221;</p><p>Newbie Leah McSweeney previously advocated for more diversity for the show —&nbsp;as the cast has never featured a black woman.</p><p>“I hope that there’s not only diversity of race, but an even deeper diversity of where someone lives or what their interests are,” <strong>McSweeney told us in August</strong>. “I hope that there’s just more diversity all across the board because New Yorkers are not a monolith, obviously. I think that it is gonna head in that direction.”</p><p>While the rest of the cast is unconfirmed, <strong>Dorinda Medley was let go</strong> from the franchise in August.</p>]]></content:encoded>
