She has partnered with fellow entrepreneurs and friends to donate food, shoes and medical supplies to the healthcare workers on the frontlines at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, NJ, a hospital she has worked with closely with for years. Her ex-husband, Frank Catania, had surgery at that hospital earlier this year, and her boyfriend, Dr. David Principe, works there.

“When somebody DMs me or asks me about a donation, it’s like Christmas for me,” Catania, 49, told Page Six on Wednesday. “I’m always so happy to point them in the right direction.”

The “Housewife” teamed up with Spartan Meal Preps to donate 100 meals, RX Water to donate 240 bottles, Dolce Aesthetics NY to donate 100 face masks and gloves, and Muvez footwear to donate 100 pairs of shoes that come with a practical feature for this climate.

“These sneakers, their soles come off, so when you walk into your house, they become slippers,” Catania explained. “So you’re not bringing these germs into your house.”

On Wednesday, the “RHONJ” star helped coordinate the distribution of the supplies outside of the hospital grounds.

“The hospital is very, very careful,” Catania said, adding that she always follows the recommended guidelines of wearing a face mask.

When asked whether she was concerned about putting her own health at risk by leaving the house, Catania told us, “It made me nervous, but it doesn’t stop me. It can’t stop me.”

Catania’s family has not been directly impacted by the COVID-19.

She also partnered with the nonprofit Oasis to provide groceries for underprivileged women and children, and The Kids For Kids Foundation‘s Hamburgers for Heroes initiative, which feeds officers and first responders.
