Prince Harry has raved about “loving” his “fantastic” new life in the US — thanks to having “a little bit of space” to play outside with son Archie during lockdown in their sprawling, $14.65 million California estate.

“Loving it. It’s fantastic,” the 35-year-old prince told British rugby legend Ellery Hanley in a Zoom call made public Sunday when he asked how he was “enjoying it now in America.”

“What I need is a few mini rugby balls that I can get Archie involved with the game, because at the moment it’s impossible to find any,” he said of his 1-year-old son and the sport that is not as popular in the US.

“But I’ve got a little bit of space outside — which we’re fortunate enough to have — so I need to get him playing some Rugby League,” Harry said in the call marking the league’s 125th birthday.

The “little bit of space outside” that comes with the 18,000-square-foot home he recently bought with wife Meghan Markle in Montecito — first revealed by Page Six — includes a swimming pool, tennis courts and plentiful gardens.

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and ArchieGetty Images

“I am just unbelievably fortunate and grateful to have outdoor space and see my son be able to be outside, because I know that so many people just haven’t had that opportunity in the last five months,” Harry said in the call.

“All of us take so much for granted … I’ve spoken to people, and I know a lot of people, who are stuck in high-rise blocks of flats and they can’t even see outdoor space, they can’t even see a bit of grass,” he said.

“I am constantly aware of that — though it’s not my environment — I’m constantly aware of it,” he said, referring to the mental health damage he fears could reverberate for “the next 10, 15 years.”

“You may be fine, you may have a garden, you may have the space, you may be feeling, ‘Wow, this is really hard’ — but take that moment and go, ‘If it’s hard for me, how much harder must it be for other people as well?’” he said.

Of Archie, he said that “our little man is our number one priority.”

Next was the couple’s work that is devoted to “just doing everything we can to try and play our part to try and make the world a better place,” Harry said.

Prince Harry plays tag rugby with children at Kings Park Stadium in Durban, South Africa.

Getty Images

Prince Harry takes part in a teacher training session and rugby festival at Eccles RFC.

WireImage

While gushing about his life in California, Harry insisted that abandoning royal duties with Megxit did not mean he was abandoning his home nation.

“I definitely plan on coming back.
