Not always strong. Stassi Schroeder shared a vulnerable moment with her social media followers as she cried over her challenging pregnancy.

The former Vanderpump Rules star, 32, shared a tearful selfie on her Instagram Story on Wednesday, December 30, giving fans a glimpse at the less glamorous side of expecting a child. Us Weekly broke the news of Schroeder’s pregnancy in June, shortly before she and husband Beau Clark confirmed they’re having a baby girl.

I don’t feel like myself. I don’t feel attractive,” the Next Level Basic author wrote on Wednesday. “I feel like I have zero control over anything. I’m uncomfortable and it’s painful to move around. And my emotions are so all over the place, I feel insane.”

Since revealing her baby news over the summer, Schroeder has kept fans up to date on how she and Clark, 40, are preparing for their little one. However, not all of her content has come across well to some.

“I’ve received lots of DM’s from people telling me I complain too much and should shut up and just be thankful I’m pregnant,” the reality TV alum added. “I’ve never been more thankful for anything. Being a mother was my biggest dream and I can’t wait to meet my daughter. But I’m still allowed to struggle with it.”

Schroeder posed a powerful question to her followers, wondering, “Why is there so much pressure on pregnant women to be superheroes? Can we stop that now?”

The former “Straight Up With Stassi” podcast host has faced plenty of highs and lows this year. Days before announcing that she has a baby on the way, Schroeder was axed by Bravo after Vanderpump Rules alum Faith Stowers alleged that she and Kristen Doute falsely reported her to the police for a crime she didn’t commit in 2018. Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni were also let go from the reality series due to past racially insensitive comments, and Schroeder lost out on several endorsement deals amid the scandal.

“I needed time to process my feelings. I needed time to process what happened and I feel like one of the most frustrating parts when this all went down was that people expected me to just understand everything immediately and things like that take time,” she said in September. “And I felt like it would be better for me to take the time to get a greater understanding of everything and the issues before I opened my mouth again.”

Despite her low moments, Schroeder is looking forward to putting the drama behind her and starting fresh when her daughter arrives.

“Stassi is in such a good place with her pregnancy and so excited for her next chapter that she’s let a lot go and is focused on her happiness and baby,” a source told Us exclusively in October.
