On Thursday, Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross announced that they’re expecting a boy, sharing a sweet video on Instagram.

Simpson, 35, and her children cut into a cake to reveal a blue filling as Ross, 31, looked on.

The couple’s daughter, Jagger, 4, seemed upset, while Simpson’s son with ex-husband Pete Wentz, Bronx, 11, laughed along in the background.

“Haha Jagger had us laughing,” Simpson shared in the comments section of the post. “She thought for sure it was a baby sister but she’s excited now!”

The couple, who wed in 2014, announced they were expecting their second child together in April.
