        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Pete Davidson is back on Instagram — but for how long remains to be seen.</p><p>The &#8220;Saturday Night Live&#8221; comedian, 26, rejoined the social media platform to promote his forthcoming semi-autobiographical film, &#8220;The King of Staten Island,&#8221; which will be available On Demand June 12.</p><p>Directed by Judd Apatow, the dramedy centers on Davidson&#8217;s life, including the death of his father — who was an FDNY firefighter — on 9/11, as well as his first forays into the world of stand-up comedy.</p><p>Fans were thrilled to see Davidson, who has deleted his account numerous times, return to Instagram.</p><p>&#8220;WELCOME BACK KING I LOVE YOU,&#8221; commented one fan.</p><p>&#8220;So proud of you!&#8221; wrote another.</p><p>&#8220;YOU’RE BACK! ❤️&#8221; commented another fan.</p><p>The &#8220;Big Time Adolescence&#8221; actor first went dark on Instagram in December 2018 after he <strong>published a note</strong> that left many, including his ex Ariana Grande, concerned for his well-being.</p><p>“I really don’t want to be on this earth anymore,” Davidson wrote in the message. “I’m doing my best to stay here for you but I actually don’t know how much longer I can last. all I’ve ever tried to do was help people. just remember I told you so.”</p><p>He <strong>returned to the social medium</strong> five months later in April 2019 before <strong>wiping his account</strong> the following month.</p>]]></content:encoded>
