        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>&#8220;Selma,&#8221; director Ava DuVernay&#8217;s biopic about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., will be free to rent on streaming services for the month of June, Paramount said Friday.</p><p>&#8220;We hope this small gesture will encourage people throughout the country to examine our nation’s history and reflect on the ways that racial injustice has infected our society,&#8221; the studio said.</p><p>The 2014 drama stars David Oyelowo as King, and received a Best Picture Oscar nomination. In his <strong>four-star review</strong>, Post critic Lou Lumenick called &#8220;Selma&#8221; &#8220;Hollywood’s definitive depiction of the 1960s American civil rights movement.&#8221;</p><p>Viewers can find the film at all major services to rent for free, including <strong>Prime Video</strong>, <strong>Apple TV</strong>, <strong>YouTube</strong> and <strong>Google Play</strong>.</p><p>The studio&#8217;s move follows <strong>Warner Bros. making</strong> its 2019 drama <strong>&#8220;Just Mercy&#8221;</strong> available <strong>for no charge on rental platforms</strong> in the wake of protests over the <strong>death of George Floyd</strong>.</p>]]></content:encoded>
