We can rule one team out of the Tom Brady snub mystery.

According to Pro Football Talk, his infamous, “you’re sticking with that motherf–ker” quote was not talking about the Bears and then-starter Mitch Trubisky, despite Colin Cowherd suggesting it was Chicago.

Appearing on “The Shop: Uninterrupted” on HBO, Brady went back into the offseason he left the Patriots, and said there was one team that he was miffed wasn’t interested in him. That team remains uncertain.

It can’t be the Colts or Chargers, because both teams found new quarterbacks in free agency and the Chargers ended up drafting Justin Herbert. It wouldn’t make sense to be the Titans, since they had beaten Brady in his final game behind NFL Comeback Player of the Year winner Ryan Tannehill.

The team — and player — that makes the most sense is the 49ers and Jimmy Garoppolo. Maybe once training camp begins, Brady will answer the question.

The Bears went into the 2020 season with Trubisky, their failed No. 2 overall pick from 2017, as their starting quarterback. He made nine starts, with Nick Foles making seven. Trubisky is now a backup on the Bills.
