Some celebrity couples couldn’t help splitting — and later rekindling — multiples times in their relationships.

Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber (née Baldwin) dated off and on from 2015 to 2016 before they reconciled in June 2018 — just three months after the “Intentions” singer called it quits with Selena Gomez. Justin and the model tied the knot at a New York City courthouse in September 2018. One year later, they wed for a second time at a larger ceremony in South Carolina.

During their split, Hailey felt that her relationship with Justin would last for the long haul if they ever got back together.

“I think I always knew if we did ever work things out and get back together, it was going to be a situation where it was very serious and we were gonna get married or [it] was going to lead to that,” the Drop the Mic host said on the Hillsong Channel in May 2020. “I didn’t necessarily know what the timeline was gonna be. I just trusted and I think [it] was such a huge leap of faith … and I just trusted the people I knew [who] had watched me go through the whole journey with him, without him and then back together with him.”

Hailey added that she always “hoped that he was a person I was gonna end up with,” adding, “So when we got together [again], it was just, like, ‘OK, I trust that this is supposed to be happening.’”

Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green, for their part, tied the knot in 2010. The pair welcomed two sons, Noah and Bodhi, before the Transformers actress filed for divorce from Green in 2015. Fox later called off the divorce and the couple welcomed their youngest son, Journey, in 2016.

Green announced their separation in May 2020 after nearly 10 years of marriage. “I will always love her,” the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum said on his “…With Brian Austin Green” podcast at the time. “And I know she will always love me and I know as far as a family what we have built is really cool and really special.”

He added, “It sucks when life changes and something that you’re used to, that you’ve been doing for 15 years, you try and not get rid of but you change. There’s the unknown aspect … there’s that pit in my stomach … I really don’t want Megan and I to be at odds … she’s been my best friend for 15 years and I don’t want to lose that.”
