        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The show will indeed go on!</p><p>After originally <strong>canceling the upcoming re-airing</strong> of the November concert &#8220;Celebrating 25 Magical years of Disney on Broadway&#8221; due to issues with the American Federation of Musicians union, the concert&#8217;s airing will now <strong>proceed as planned</strong> on April 17th at 7 p.m. eastern time.</p><p>The concert will showcase a wide array of Broadway Stars performing various songs from hit Disney musicals, as well as being interviewed by Ryan McCartan, who is currently starring as Hans from Disney&#8217;s &#8216;Frozen&#8217; as well as hosting the concert from his family&#8217;s basement.</p><p><span >Proceeds will go toward the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS&#8217; COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Fund.</span></p><p>The concert was initially canceled on April 11th due to the union not being able to reach an agreement with Broadway Cares. However, the contractor of the event&#8217;s orchestra started a petition to waive all the fees of the live stream. The federation then reversed its decision. Disney, SAG-AFTRA and the Actors Equity Association already did the same.</p><p><strong>Performances</strong>&nbsp;include all the Disney shows that have ever graced the Great White Way, from &#8220;The Lion King&#8221; to &#8220;Frozen&#8221; to &#8220;Hercules,&#8221; as well as a reunion of 18 performers from the original Broadway cast of &#8220;Newsies.&#8221; The concert also invited back many Disney Broadway alum, such as Sierra Boggess (&#8220;The Little Mermaid&#8221;), Susan Egan (&#8220;Beauty and the Beast&#8221;), Christian Borle (&#8220;Mary Poppins&#8221;), Adam Jacobs (&#8220;Aladdin&#8221;), Krysta Rodriguez (&#8220;Hercules&#8221;) and more.</p><p>When the concert aired in November, it raised $570,426 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.</p><p>The concert will be available to stream on Playbill.com as well as <strong>BroadwayCares.org</strong></p>]]></content:encoded>
