A “Breaking Bad”-themed Monopoly game which was quietly released last week will likely have classic board game and TV fans alike asking, “Who asked for this?”

The cult hit TV series ran on AMC from 2008 to 2013, and infamously revolved around a high school chemistry teacher (Bryan Cranston) who turns to manufacturing and selling methamphetamine to secure his family’s future after he’s diagnosed with lung chancer.

This less-family-friendly version of the ever-popular Monopoly game was created by USAopoly, the official Hasbro licensee who brought the world a variety of pop culture-inspired games, including ones based on “The Simpsons,” Marvel’s “The Avengners” and “Game of Thrones.”

Rather than playing landlord, this updated version of Monopoly has gamers assume the role of drug lord. Wannabe meth hustlers play by choosing from the game’s very grim selection of player tokens, including a gas mask, an acid vat (for the bodies) and Walter White’s signature bowler hat.

Oh, and Monopoly hotels are now “Superlabs” and Chance cards are now “Water White” cards, while the Community Chest cards are revamped as “Heisenberg” cards — which makes sense as that’s where you’ll find instructions to “go to jail.” Meanwhile, bank notes feature the faces of “Breaking Bad” characters Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk), Walter White (Cranston) as Heisenberg, Walter “Flynn” Jr. (RJ Mitte) and Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul).

The question remains for whom, exactly, this game was made — now almost seven years after the series finale. Alas, it must be highly collective to diehard “Breaking Bad” fans since it’s already listed as “currently unavailable” on Amazon. It can still be purchased, however, for $39.99 on the official USAopoly site.

Still, as AV Club reports, you might not want to play it with the kids, unless you don’t mind using loaded euphemisms such as “candy,” “hit-friend” and “picked up a box cutter and hugged his employee like a pig.”

Players will need to “tread lightly” to buy, sell and trade properties if they want to be the last one standing in this new version of Monopoly based on AMC’s “Breaking Bad.”
