An autopsy on the remains of Naya Rivera has confirmed Tuesday her cause of death as drowning.

The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office said there was no doubt that the body found floating on Lake Piru Monday morning was that of the “Glee” actress, based on dental records.

“The autopsy findings are consistent with a drowning and the condition of the body is consistent with the time that she was submerged,” it said in a statement.

Alcohol and drugs did not appear to have played a role in Rivera’s death, but a toxicology test will be conducted, the medical examiner said. They also found no traumatic injury.

Rivera, 33, disappeared on Wednesday after she took a pontoon boat out on the Southern California lake with her 4-year-old son Josey.

Authorities had said the day after Rivera went missing they believed she had drowned and shifted to working to locate her body rather than find her alive.
