An interview with Lamar Odom on N.O.R.E.’s “Drink Champs” show nearly turned ugly after the pair got into an argument and even stood up as if they were going to fight. Now rap-legend-turned-talk-show-host N.O.R.E. tells Page Six the reason that Odom got worked up was a misunderstanding over Odom’s NBA Championship rings.

“I kept bringing up the fact that he has a ring, but I did not know that he actually lost his rings,” N.O.R.E., who co-hosts the Revolt TV show — during which the hosts and guests get drunk — told us. “So in retrospect he might’ve thought I was joking or making fun of him. So, he basically lost his rings, which he thought was public knowledge, but I didn’t know. He thought that I was clowning him so he was upset with that. And I made it known that I wasn’t aware.”

Odom won championships with the Lakers in 2009 and 2010. According to CNN, Odom — who struggled with opioid addiction for years — pawned the rings in 2016. They were recently auctioned with an estimated value of $50,000 each.
