Exotic’s former “husband” John Finlay told David Spade during an interview on “Lights Out” that his favorite animals were the alligators and crocodiles, saying “One of the previous managers had gotten us Michael Jackson’s alligators from Neverland Ranch.”

Unfortunately, the late pop star’s animals died when a 2015 arson fire destroyed their habitat inside a building that also housed Exotic’s film studio.

Finlay — who has gotten teeth since the show aired — also stated in the interview that he was not technically married to Exotic and his other husband Travis Maldonado. “Just to clear the record, me and Joe were never legally married, ever.”

As for Finlay being shirtless for every interview, he says, “It was the director’s idea. It was kind of the sex appeal type thing.”
