MIAMI — Kevin Pillar is slowly making his way back from his traumatic injury.

Mets manager Luis Rojas said Sunday that Pillar, the outfielder who suffered multiple nasal fractures last Monday when he got hit by a Jacob Webb pitch, could start light activities as soon as Monday and then graduate to baseball activities by next week. Pillar underwent surgery to repair his nose on May 21 in Manhattan.

“(He’ll do) strength exercises before the baseball activity,” Rojas said, before the Mets concluded their series with the Marlins at loanDepot park. “That’ll give us a better feel.”

Pillar, 32, has a .250/.294/.388 slash line with the Mets this season. Before he went down, he had earned regular playing time thanks to Brandon Nimmo’s own trip to the injured list.
