She was said to be so angry about the headline that she wanted to fire Keleigh Thomas Morgan of Sunshine Sachs, the public relations expert she had just hired.

Markle was reportedly "ecstatic" to do the piece, but she was upset that the magazine chose to focus on her relationship with the Duke of Sussex instead of her acting career and charitable work.

The Times of London published another part of the new book. It said that Markle had been given strict orders not to talk about sensitive topics like politics, race, and her relationship with the prince.

Markle talked Prince Harry into thinking that the article would be about the 100th episode of the TV show "Suits," which the actress was filming in Toronto, where the interview took place.

However, Vanity Fair contributing editor Sam Kashner confessed he had never heard of the TV show or Markle, and asked her directly about her relationship to Harry, the report said.

“We’re a couple. We’re in love,” she famously responded.
