        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Blofeld, Goldfinger and Drax, meet Safin.</p><p>A video featurette released Monday for the upcoming 25th James Bond film, <strong>&#8220;No Time To Die,&#8221;</strong> gives viewers insight into this brand new villain, played by Oscar-winner Rami Malek, 39.</p><p>&#8220;What he wants and what he’s willing to do makes him a very frightening character,&#8221; says director Cary Joji Fukunaga in a video introducing the ominous new character. &#8220;Both personally to Bond, and also on a global level.&#8221;</p><p>Indeed, the maniacal Safin says to 007: &#8220;We both eradicate people to make the world a better place.&#8221;</p><figure id="attachment_16291971"  class="wp-caption alignleft"><strong><noscript><img data- data-src="/uploads/2020/09/rami-malek-james-bond.jpg" class="lazyload" src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==" /><noscript><img  data-src="/uploads/2020/09/rami-malek-james-bond.jpg" /></noscript></noscript><img class="lazyload" src='data:image/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=%22http://www.w3.org/2000/svg%22%20viewBox=%220%200%20210%20140%22%3E%3C/svg%3E' data- data-src="/uploads/2020/09/rami-malek-james-bond.jpg" /></strong><figcaption class="wp-caption-text"><span>Rami Malek as Safin in &#8220;No Time to Die&#8221;</span><span class="credit">Nicola Dove</span></figcaption></figure><p>At one point in the dark video, we watch as Safin stands on a frozen lake, above a man who is trapped beneath the ice, and then, just for good measure, wildly shoots his gun at him.</p><p>Little is still known about the character&#8217;s origins.</p><p>Malek (<strong>&#8220;Bohemian Rhapsody&#8221;</strong>) speaks in a vaguely European accent, and occasionally dons a white mask to shield his disfigured face.</p><p>One thing that&#8217;s abundantly clear is his motivation: &#8220;Revenge.&#8221;</p><p>&#8220;No Time To Die,&#8221; starring Daniel Craig as 007, hits theaters on Nov. 20.</p>]]></content:encoded>
