Marvel is getting ready to shoot the second installment of the “Black Panther” franchise after the sudden passing of its star Chadwick Boseman.

Shooting will begin in Atlanta in July, 2021, and will last about six months, according to an exclusive report from The Hollywood Reporter.

Many of the cast members, including Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke and Angela Bassett, will be returning to Wakanda, the outlet reported.

However, Marvel has remained tight-lipped about how they plan to proceed without Boseman. Marvel has indicated it will not be using CGI to bring Bosman back into the franchise.

“Black Panther 2” is one of several Marvel movies stalled by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Marvel President Kevin Feige is reported to be focusing on creating content to stream on Disney Plus.

Under Feige, Marvel has wrapped the first seasons on several new projects, including the Disney Plus series Loki and Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Marvel hopes to release three films in 2021 and four more in 2022.
