        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Mark Wahlberg has been dubbed a hypocrite after <strong>posting a tribute</strong> to George Floyd.</p><p>The &#8220;Spenser Confidential&#8221; actor, 49, called for people to &#8220;work together&#8221; to fight racial injustices, which led some followers to remind him of his assaults on minorities when he was a teenager.</p><p>&#8220;Let&#8217;s not forget that Mark Wahlberg himself almost beat an Asian man to death when he was a teenager&#8230;,&#8221; wrote one follower.</p><p>&#8220;Hey big guy the hate crimes section on your Wikipedia page isn’t such a good look for you,&#8221; commented another, while another wrote, &#8220;No one will ever forget.&#8221;</p><p>In 1986, a civil rights injunction was filed against Wahlberg and other white friends after they hurled rocks and shouted racial epithets at a group of mostly black fourth-grade students while chasing them down the street, <strong>according to the Washington Post</strong>.</p><p>Two years later, a then-16-year-old Wahlberg hit a Vietnamese man in the head with a stick while trying to steal alcohol and punched another in the face while trying to avoid police. He allegedly <strong>targeted them with racist slurs</strong> during the attack.</p><p>Wahlberg, who admitted he was high at the time, served about 45 days in jail.</p><p>In 2014, the &#8220;Boogie Nights&#8221; star <strong>requested a pardon</strong> over the latter crime.
