        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Mark Cuban refused to rule out a run for the White House on Thursday, saying &#8220;stranger things have happened.&#8221;</p><p>Asked at a virtual event about his chances of making a bid, Cuban, 61, said, &#8220;It’s highly unlikely because of the timing, but stranger things have happened. You know me, I’m an entrepreneur — I’m never going to say &#8216;no.&#8217;&#8221;</p><p>The Dallas Mavericks owner and &#8220;Shark Tank&#8221; star has floated the idea of running several times, before both the 2016 and 2020 elections.</p><p>Speaking at the &#8220;Reset Your Mindset at Work&#8221; event hosted by Yahoo and Fortune, Cuban also refused to throw his longtime verbal sparring partner President Trump &#8220;under the bus&#8221; for his response to the COVID-19 outbreak.</p><p>Appearing alongside Serena Williams, Cuban said that he thinks the government got off to a good start with the crisis. &#8220;The President was much more open-minded, and then something flipped and he went in a completely different direction,&#8221; he said, &#8220;but it’s not just him — and it’s not like I’m throwing him under the bus. I think he could have done better but, when you have imperfect information, you make imperfect decisions.&#8221;</p><p>He also took a shot at the Democrats, saying that the government&#8217;s paycheck protection loans to small businesses would have saved more jobs if Congress had approved them earlier. &#8220;It was delayed because the Democrats kept trying to get money for museums, or get money for other things,&#8221; he said, &#8220;and every day that added on to that made things far worse and added onto the unemployment.”</p>]]></content:encoded>
