The 49-year-old “Riverdale” star stepped up to guest-host Monday’s episode of “Live With Kelly and Ryan” alongside his wife Kelly Ripa, who jokingly introduced him as “not Magnum, P.I.” in light of his Tom Selleck-like mustache.

But while Ripa, 49, didn’t seem too hung up on her husband’s fresh facial hair, opinions were mixed on social media.

“Mark seems to be channeling his inner Freddie Mercury,” one Instagram commenter noted approvingly, while another wrote, “Love the mustache. He looks like Burt Reynolds.”

“We are swooning over Mark’s mustache,” a third commenter gushed. “Recording this episode to watch over and over!! Thank you Mark, us ladies really needed this!!”

Others felt Consuelos’ fuzzy upper lip was a turn-off. “Please lose the mustache Mark, makes you look like an aging porn star!” one person exclaimed, while another commented, “I love you Mark, but the mustache needs to go.”

The debate swiftly sparked a poll on the “Live With Kelly and Ryan” Twitter account, with the majority of voters clearly preferring a clean-shaven Consuelos.

But one Twitter commenter perhaps put it best: “Should be Kelly’s decision. She is the one who has to kiss it.”
