Kelly Ripa may be missing her usual salon visits, but Mark Consuelos isn’t complaining.

The “Live With Kelly and Ryan” host, 49, has been sharing updates on her hair’s status with regular “root watch” posts on her Instagram Stories, and showed off her natural gray in an episode of her morning show earlier this week, where she was joined by her 49-year-old husband (and his controversial new mustache).

As it turns out, the “Riverdale” star is a full fan of his spouse’s salt-and-pepper strands. “Since I met you, you told me that you’re gray,” he said. “And I gotta tell you, I see you in the morning and I think it looks beautiful. I like it. I’m looking forward to when it’s just completely gray.”

“Which is probably by the end of the week,” Ripa replied with a laugh. “I’m running out of spray … so yeah, you’ll get to see my gray hair any second now.”

The TV host recently told The Strategist that she swears by L’Oréal Paris Magic Root Cover Up ($9.97) to keep her “Anderson Cooper gray” roots under wraps. “I have tried a lot of similar products before — like, every other one on the market — and take it from me, this one is the best,” she said.

“The spray requires little effort, looks good, and is so fast: Spray it on the parts you need, and you’re done. You have to hold the spray in the right spot, and I zhuzh it a little bit afterward so that it doesn’t look like spray paint, but there are directions on the bottle that tell you how to use it. I use it all the time, for a lot of different events, and the light-to-medium blonde color matches my hair so well.”

L’Oréal Paris Magic Root Cover Up ($9.97)
