When the fatigue first hit, Chad Kimball says, he figured it was the result of doing eight shows a week of Broadway’s “Come From Away.” But the exhaustion persisted. After he was tested, he learned he had COVID-19.

“It came in waves,” he tells The Post. “Two days after I felt better, it came roaring back. It felt different than anything I had before, especially when I lost my sense of smell.”

Now, nearly four weeks since he first became sick, he’s fully recovered and investigating how to donate blood plasma once it’s safe to do so. For now, he’s quarantined in his Upper West Side apartment with his wife, Emily Swallow of “The Mandalorian,” the “Star Wars”-inspired TV series. “She met Baby Yoda before any of us knew there was a Baby Yoda,” he says, proudly.

Here’s how they and their Boston terrier mix, Norma Jean, are spending their newly together time.

New favorite hangout?

The corner of our sectional couch. My mother-in-law got me a weighted blanket — you know, the kind they put on you at the doctor’s office? They’re for people who have anxiety problems, so that’s perfect. It lays on you and makes you feel secure.

Hobbies?

Reading! I have about 10 books on my nightstand and have gotten into a steady stream. The one I’m reading now is “The Hiding Place,” about a Christian Dutch family who hid their Jewish friends from the Nazis during World War II. Reading that story now really puts things in perspective.

My wife and I have always wanted to produce something together, so we started to make little comic sketch videos with our dog. I film them on my iPhone. I gave my wife a piano after we got married and we’re getting more attuned — no pun intended! — to singing together.

Emily Swallow and Chad Kimball at home with Norma Jean.Courtesy of Chad Kimball

Who’s cooking?

We both are. I didn’t like to cook, and now I realize I like to do it when it’s not just for myself. We’ve never really eaten dinner together before, because I eat after the show and she likes to eat early. So we’re actually having dinner together, which has been a wonderful silver lining.

Best meal so far (homemade)

On Easter, my wife made a rosemary-rubbed pork roast. It was phenomenal.

Go-to takeout?

It’s usually Mexican. A lot of the little mom-and-pop places we like are closed, so we’ve been ordering from Playa Betty’s, a kind of Mexican beach cuisine with a la carte tacos.

Best non-food deliveries?

Our dog is very good at jumping fences to chase squirrels, so we got her a small agility course for her to run around in. And I was really excited about getting this vacuum cleaner attachment for our drawers. It sucks just enough to get the dust, but doesn’t disrupt everything else. Yeah, I know. Pretty nerdy.

What are you watching?

The new season of “Ozark.” The whole beauty of the series is that almost every second, you’re on pins and needles.

And what are you listening to?

She loves [Dmitri] Shostakovich. I was always bored with classical music as a kid, but now, the intricacy of the music and the stories it tells — it’s really dynamic. We have Spotify, which is a dream: You hear music you’d never think you’d listen to.

How do you stay in touch with your “CFA” castmates?

I think the day we shut down, we started a cast text thread. There are 20 some people on it, and we wish each other happy birthday and sometimes just good night. And it’s funny, too. Whenever one of us gets worried, we raise each other’s spirits.
