        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Madison Beer marked one year of being &#8220;clean of self-harm&#8221; on Wednesday, commemorating the milestone on Instagram.</p><p>&#8220;As of today&#8230; i am officially one year clean of self harm,&#8221; the 21-year-old singer captioned one post, sharing a screenshot of her digital calendar.</p><p>&#8220;I never thought i&#8217;d be able to say this &amp; i am so proud of myself. It has been an uphill battle, so whether you might b one day, one week, one month, or one year clean&#8230; i&#8217;m so proud of you,&#8221; she continued.</p><p>In a separate post, Beer &#8212; who recently <strong>spoke to NME</strong> about being diagnosed with borderline personality disorder in 2019 &#8212; revealed she hid personal struggles from loved ones.</p><p>&#8220;I&#8217;d also like to add&#8230; no one around me rlly knew i was struggling when i was. I hid not only my self harm, but my pain from the world,&#8221; Beer penned. &#8220;Please please please do not ignore the signs if you think someone you know might be struggling. Reach out to your friends.
