Dunham, 33, who published the memoir “Not That Kind of Girl: A Young Woman Tells You What She’s ‘Learned’” in 2014, revealed in an Instagram Live clip with model Kaia Gerber that she is working on another memoir, as well as a book of fiction.

“I wrote a book of [fictional] short stories that is going to come out. I was going to publish that, but then sort of life — you kind of have to go where your attention is,” Dunham explained. “I was distracted by a lot of personal stuff that was going on: Transitions and health things, and breakups, and so I thought, I have got to write all this down and that became a memoir.” She said it will come out next year.

She publicly celebrated being clean and sober for two years this month with an online post saying, “It’s a miracle.”
