Kyle Martino and his ex, Eva Amurri, may be divorced, but they sure are staying friendly.

The 39-year-old former soccer pro said that he and Amurri, a blogger whose mom is Susan Sarandon, still “love each other” and are are living family life “our way,” as he posted a series of sweet photos to Instagram that included her and their three kids.

“There is no ‘right way.’ Life, love, family & career take many forms. I know the decision Eva and I made to be a ‘different’ type of family, & me once again stepping away from a ‘dream job’ to pursue other passions, evokes confusion or even criticism,” he wrote alongside the images.

“The truth is we’ve never been happier because we’ve found ‘our way.’ Our kids now see a genuine version of parents who love them, love each other & most importantly love themselves. So in these challenging times I only offer this simple suggestion: Find you, and be it.”

Last month, Martino, who previously said he and Amurri “sucked at being married,” announced that he was leaving NBC as an English Premiere League commentator.

He wed Amurri, 35, in 2011 and they share sons Mateo, 5 months, Major, 3, and daughter Marlowe, 6.

In November 2019, just two months after announcing that they were expecting a third child together, the couple revealed that they were separating. Their divorce was finalized in February 2020, a month before Mateo’s birth.

The Happily Eva After blogger and Martino are mindfully mapping out their path to co-parenting during the coronavirus pandemic. He resided in a studio on Amurri’s property in Westport, Connecticut, so they could spend time together as a family.

“It was either he isolates on his own and doesn’t see the kids for who knows how long or we isolate together. It was an obvious choice for the kids’ sake and his sake,” Amurri told Otherland co-founder and CEO Abigail Cook Stone in April, according to Entertainment Tonight.
