The 33-year-old “Very Cavallari” star took to Instagram on Wednesday to announce her new platform to reach fans with a photo of herself in a bikini and an interesting caption.

“**PLEASE READ** I’ve spent years building this family of followers on Instagram and now more than ever I’m having trouble reaching all of you when I need to most,” her lengthy caption begins. “The algorithms have thrown me huge curveballs and for the first time in a long time, I have a new way to get in front of all of you within SECONDS.”

The post continues, “That is why I’m excited to announce that I’m launching a new platform where I can reach each and everyone of you every time via text! No more BS. This content will be EXCLUSIVE. Intimate. And most importantly YOU WILL NEVER MISS IT. All you have to do is click the link in my bio to sign up now!! I promise to deliver incredible content you won’t find anywhere else ever. While Cavallari’s friends commented with their support, many fans were taken aback she would post this in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

“Lol trouble reaching people ? Why? To sell product in times of uncertainty?? It’s okay Kristin … no one is worried about buying anything right now . Take a chill pill [sic],” one commented.

Another chimed in, “Hi, I really like your shows and have watched you since Laguna Beach, but all the holiday posting during this difficult time is inappropriate, as a lot of people are worried to leave their home x.”

A third wrote, “You seem completely out of touch with what is going on in the world right now. You are just worried about selling your products.”

Another shocked Instagram user wrote, “TONE DEAF!!!!! I hope people choose to make life easier on your worries of producing great content and just unfollow.”

However, Cavallari didn’t seem to be too down about the backlash and posted another sultry snap on Thursday offering 20 percent off of everything at her two companies, Uncommon James and Little James Clothing.

“We’re gonna get through this and come out on the other side stronger. We’re in this together!” she wrote alongside the photo of herself wearing a backless dress.

“I have everything in my cart. Just waiting for my job to come back💗,” one user commented.

“Just put my first order ever in yesterday! Got some of your stuff for Xmas and fell so in love. Can’t wait for my candles,” another posted.

Cavallari was previously called out by fans for posting a sexy snap in NYC on Sept. 11, writing, “NYC for 24hrs. And what a time to be here..always remember.”

An insider told Page Six at the time that a social media staffer posted the insensitive caption without Cavallari’s consent and was subsequently fired.

A rep for Cavallari declined to comment.
