Kevin Bacon’s sultry whisper is sending tremors across social media.

Over the weekend, the “Footloose” star posted a TikTok video about preparing a “morning mango” for breakfast. From his kitchen, Bacon divulged his five-step technique in a hushed voice to avoid disturbing his wife, “The Closer” star Kyra Sedgwick, who apparently was still in deep slumber.

“Good morning. I have to keep my voice down because you know who is still asleep,” the 62-year-old confessed as he inadvertently created an autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) video that made viewers’ brains tingle — or, to put it another way, gave them “brain-gasms.”

In the soothing clip, Bacon sported a serious case of quarantine-length bedhead as he scored half a mango and turned it inside-out to prevent “stringy parts in your teeth.” He then proceeded to give the fleshy fruit a “refreshing” squeeze of fresh lime juice, a generous dose of chili powder — “Not too much,” he contradictorily noted — and a sprinkle of sea salt. His culinary creation complete, he took a few slurpy bites and proclaimed to his more than 304,000 followers, “That’s pretty good.”

His post topped 229,000 likes and gathered more than 6,600 comments.

“Kevin bacon ASMR… I didn’t know I needed this until now,” said one commenter. Another added, “Your voice is so soothing when you whisper like this,” while one smitten fan simply implored, “Yes Kevin. Whisper to me.” Still, another remarked that Bacon’s calming narration had a medicinal benefit and “lowered my blood pressure.”

One appreciative viewer even suggested Bacon was the perfect savior for a tumultuous year rocked by the coronavirus, noting, “After seeing this I know 2020 will get better. @kevinbacon is the hero we need and love.”

Maybe in his followup video Bacon could try chomping on some ice to further calm the masses.
