        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Katy Perry</strong> isn&#8217;t letting coronavirus stop her from having fun.</p><p>The &#8220;Teenage Dream&#8221; singer, 35, stayed on theme while taping the first at-home episode of &#8220;American Idol&#8221; on Sunday by dressing up as a huge bottle of hand sanitizer.</p><p>Perry explained her over-the-top costume by joking that she wanted to be &#8220;as safe as possible,&#8221; and told host Ryan Seacrest that she &#8220;will never forget&#8221; being pregnant during a global pandemic.</p><p>The Purell-inspired &#8220;music sanitizer&#8221; getup was designed by longtime Perry creative director Johnny Wujek and created by costume designer Shokra and fashion designer Pini.</p><p>Perry is no stranger to hilarious — and hard-to-maneuver — costumes; she stole the show at the 2020 Met Gala in her Jeremy Scott-designed <strong>chandelier outfit</strong> on the red carpet, and later changed into a&nbsp;<strong>cheeseburger look</strong> for the afterparties.</p>]]></content:encoded>
