Kathy Griffin was hospitalized in an isolation ward room with “unbearably painful” symptoms that she said could have been related to the novel coronavirus.

In two photos Griffin posted to Twitter Wednesday, she showed the room where she is staying — one with her nose and mouth covered by a mask.

“I was sent to the #COVID19 isolation ward room in a major hospital ER from a separate urgent care facility after showing UNBEARABLY PAINFUL symptoms,” the actress and comedian wrote.

In the tweet, the former “My Life on the D-List” star said the hospital “couldn’t test me for #coronavirus because of CDC (Pence task force) restrictions.”

Griffin, who recently traveled to Mexico with husband Randy Bick, first started experiencing symptoms over the weekend, which went away and then came back, Bick told the Los Angeles Times.

“Two days later, she woke up very early in the morning and had incredibly intense pain, vomiting, diarrhea, every 20 minutes,” he said. “Just really sick.”

The newlyweds — who just tied the knot on New Year’s Day — made their way to a local urgent care Tuesday and then were moved to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

There, Griffin got a chest X-ray that showed clear lungs and a CT scan that revealed she had an abdominal infection. She said the emergency department doctor seemed to want to test both her and Bick.

“The doctor was going through the boxes and going through the boxes [on a form] and she kept saying, like, ‘Ugh, because of the lungs, the fever and the kind of cough … you don’t meet the CDC requirements,’” Griffin told the outlet.

She was given the option to be admitted to the hospital — where testing might be more likely — but after discussing the situation with a few health care staffers, she decided it would be better to self-isolate at home.
