        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>These former &#8220;Waitress&#8221; stars are serving up thanks to first responders in the <strong>coronavirus pandemic</strong>.</p><p>Katharine McPhee, 36, <a href="https://twitter.com/katharinemcphee/status/1255531143673319426" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">posted a video</a> with her &#8220;Smash&#8221; co-star Jeremy Jordan, 35, to Twitter on Wednesday singing &#8220;You Matter to Me&#8221; from &#8220;Waitress,&#8221; which they both starred in at different points.</p><p>On Saturday, McPhee <a href="https://twitter.com/katharinemcphee/status/1254186507998498824" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">took to Twitter</a> saying that she had something special in the works and asked her fans to send photos of front-line workers. The images of doctors, nurses and other essential workers are edited into their moving four-minute performance.</p><p>McPhee played the role of Jenna in &#8220;Waitress&#8221; in 2018, while Jordan played Dr. Pomatter the following year.</p><p>The video has received praise from fans on the front line as well as many on Twitter.</p><p>&#8220;I had chills. This is beautiful,&#8221; <a href="https://twitter.com/marishawallace/status/1255632201347207176" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">one fan wrote</a>.</p><p>&#8220;I love this thank you. Been going to work every single day and working extra hours.
