Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande are in a charitable mood.

The pop singers announced Friday they are teaming up on a joint single, “Stuck with U,” to raise money for the First Responders Children’s Foundation. The song, available on preorder, will be released on Friday, May 8.

Bieber, 26, shared the news on Twitter with a crudely-drawn illustration, by artist and New Yorker contributor Liana Finck, depicting two people sheltering together in a home. It’s a clear reference to the self-isolation many people are facing as the coronavirus pandemic marches on.

“Very excited because we have finally done it,” wrote Bieber about the collaboration with Grande, also 26, in a caption. “And it’s really good.”

Bieber and Grande — as well as mutual manager Scooter Braun — teased the announcement Thursday afternoon on Twitter, with Bieber writing, “Special announcement tomorrow at 10 am pst” and Grande posting “see u there everybody” with a black heart emoji.

Here is the announcement. Very excited because we have finally done it. And it’s really good. I’m releasing a new song #StuckwithU with my friend @ArianaGrande next Friday on May 8th https://t.co/pJCba90Cwf pic.twitter.com/UlSnPxnPT1

— Justin Bieber (@justinbieber) May 1, 2020

According to Billboard, the single will be the first release from a compilation album organized by Braun’s SB Projects.

“I’m so excited to announce that my friend Justin Bieber and I have partnered with SB Projects and First Responders Children’s Foundation on this little project here,” Grande said in a statement. “We’re very excited about this for so many reasons. We hope we make a big difference with this and we hope it uplifts you and makes you feel happy and that you love it as much as we do. We’ve had a really great time working on this and we’re so excited for you to hear it.”

Both singers also were among the Universal Music Group artists who recently released reusable cloth face masks for the label’s “We’ve Got Your Covered” program. Net proceeds from sales of the $15 masks benefit the Recording Academy’s MusiCares “safety net” for industry professionals affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

Despite the COVID-19 crisis, it’s been a busy year for Bieber. On Valentine’s Day, the singer took a break from “crazy” romps with wife Hailey Baldwin, 23, to release a new album, “Changes,” which includes the single “Yummy,” a love letter to his bride. However, Bieber — who also premiered a docu-series, “Justin Bieber: Seasons,” on YouTube in January — was forced to postpone his 2020 Changes tour due to the COVID-19 crisis.
