Johnny Wright served as Michelle Obama’s personal hairstylist from 2009 to 2017 while she was in the White House, and told Page Six that the first lady only turned down one of his proposed looks.

“I did several high ponytails on her. The only thing that was turned down was when I wanted to cut her hair really short at the very end of the presidency,” he said. “I wanted to do a pixie cut on her, and she was not open to that, so we just did not do it.”

He even “did a storyboard to walk her through the vision, like I always did, and she wasn’t OK with it. It was her head, it’s her story. I can’t make her do anything she does not want to do.”

He’ll co-host “To Catch a Beautician,” Monday, on VH1 with Tamar Braxton.
