Joe Judge got his big break in coaching when he landed at Alabama in 2009, hired as special teams assistant on Nick Saban’s staff. Judge worked directly under Bobby Williams, the Crimson Tide special teams coordinator.

This weekend, Nick Williams unveiled the Giants blue, red and white “ny’ logo as his new Twitter profile picture. Nick Williams, the son of Judge’s former direct-report at Alabama, will be with the Giants in 2020 as a seasonal assistant who will work on the offensive side of the ball.

Nick Williams played wide receiver at Alabama during Judge’s three years in Tuscaloosa. Judge was the special teams assistant and Williams apparently made an impression. Williams spent the past three years as the wide receivers coach at Southern Illinois and also was the pro liaison at the school for NFL teams.

Nick Williams (l.) with Jacksonville State in 2015.Getty Images

Bobby Williams, after more than a decade at Alabama with Saban, last year went to Oregon as the special teams coordinator and tight ends coach.
