“I know people are struggling with fear, anxiety, and also with sorrowful loss,” the mother of three began. “My faith in God, knowing that with him all things are possible, has been my strength when I feel overwhelmed.”

Simpson, 39, whose scenic post included a rainbow set against a blue sky, also quoted the biblical verse Psalm 34:18, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” The “Open Book” author added she has “had many prayerful moments in these last few weeks of uncertainty,” feeling “true peace and a pure connection to hope” as a result of those moments.

“After weeks of quarantine, I have found my quiet place,” Simpson wrote. “I urge everyone to cause yourself to let go, be silent with listening ears toward God.”

Simpson, who has discussed her faith and relationships in the past, later asked fans to “join [her] in praying” for global leaders, scientists, and medical personnel.

“Prayer is not political. Prayer is necessary,” she continued. “We are all in this together, so we must stand united. I encourage each and every one of you to stay home, stay strong, and stay on bended knee.”

Prior to her empowering post, Simpson celebrated daughter Birdie’s first birthday at home in March. She and husband Eric Johnson are also parents to daughter Maxwell, 7, and son Ace, 6.
