        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Actor <strong>Jake Gyllenhaal</strong> posted a video on Friday of him singing a song entitled &#8220;Across the Way&#8221; as part of a monologue series.</p><p>The four-and-a-half minute song was written especially for Gyllenhaal by the composer of the Tony Award-winning musical &#8220;Fun Home,&#8221; Jeanine Tesori, and playwright David Lindsay-Abaire, <strong>according to The Hollywood Reporter</strong>.</p><p>Gyllenhaal singing lyrics such as &#8221;&nbsp;Day 32, I washed my hands, you made a cornish hen / Day 36 you sewed a mask, I washed my hands again.&#8221;</p><p>The series, which was <strong>launched in mid-March</strong>, consists of seven rounds of original songs that were written, produced and recorded within a 24-hour time limit and feature real-life stories of those who have been affected by the virus.</p><p>Other notable participants include <strong>Sienna Miller</strong>, Patrick Wilson and&nbsp;<strong>Rita Wilson</strong>.</p><p>One comment described the song as &#8220;a love song in the age of quarantine.&#8221;</p>]]></content:encoded>
