        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Internal Revenue Service&#8217;s online tracker for stimulus checks went on the fritz Wednesday as <strong>millions wait for the money</strong> to hit their accounts, according to frustrated taxpayers.</p><p>Some Americans were reporting errors with the new tool, Get My Payment, which was launched to help taxpayers figure out when to anticipate their payments.</p><p>&#8220;The IRS &#8216;Get my Payment&#8217; site keeps going down for technical difficulty,&#8221; wrote <a href="https://twitter.com/BTWarthan/status/1250400095268470792" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">one Twitter user</a>, who added that there was &#8220;no way to contact IRS on the site.&#8221;</p><p>Others who were able to access the site said the tracker was unable to provide any information about their stimulus checks.</p><p>One Twitter user complained that they filled out their information only to get the response that their &#8220;payment status was not available.&#8221;</p><p>&#8220;Yo @IRSnews your get my payment site is a joke,&#8221; <a href="https://twitter.com/The937Nerd/status/1250396442373623808" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">the user wrote</a>. &#8220;Don&#8217;t launch something that&#8217;s not going to work for 95% of the people trying to use it.&#8221;</p><p>Meanwhile, others reported that the US Bank&#8217;s site also crashed Wednesday as taxpayers tried to access their accounts.</p><p>&#8220;It must be #PayDay for America as @usbank&#8217;s website just crashed,&#8221; <a href="https://twitter.com/MRHibbard/status/1250398665048555520" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">tweeted a user</a>.</p><p>The Trump administration said more than 80 million Americans are expected to receive direct deposits by Wednesday with their portion of the $2.2 trillion stimulus package Congress passed last month.</p>]]></content:encoded>
