“I apologize to everyone expecting to see me on Good Morning America today,” he tweeted, “but after the events in Minnesota with George Floyd I’m in no mood to tell America, good morning.”

The 50-year-old had been slated to promote his forthcoming film — “The High Note,” starring Tracee Ellis Ross and Dakota Johnson — on the morning show.

A fan responded saying the N.W.A star could’ve used the appearance as an opportunity to “bring more awareness” and “make a statement that needs to be made,” to which the “Check Yo Self” rapper responded, “I’m done talking. These people know right from wrong and they obviously don’t care. So what we talking about?”

As seen on viral video, Floyd, 46, died after a white Minneapolis police officer pinned him down with a knee to his neck. The officer, later identified as 44-year-old Derek Chauvin, was later fired.

His passing has sparked protests that have since turned deadly throughout the Minnesota city and an outcry from celebrities, including Ross, Anne Hathaway, Cardi B, LeBron James and Kim Kardashian.
