I had to,” Quaid, the human, told the <strong>local news station WSLS.</strong> “I’m out to save all the Dennis Quaids of the world.”</p><p>The 66-year-old said he couldn’t wait to get his paws on his namesake feline after catching a heartfelt <strong>news segment</strong> about the jet-black mouser’s hunt for a home.</p><p>Quaid is now feline fine about picking up the 6-year-old furball at the Lynchburg Humane Society this weekend, according to&nbsp; the outlet.</p><p>The station didn’t explain how Dennis Quaid — the cat — got his Hollywood name.</p>]]></content:encoded>
