We don’t want to just stand there and be boring. Maybe I should do this and you should do that,’ and we figured it out right before,” Stauss explained.

Bri and Chris perform on “The Bachelor present: Listen to Your Heart”ABC

Watson and Stauss now have a self-titled debut album “Chris and Bri,” a 10-track record featuring original music and covers, including Taylor Swift’s “Lover,” which they also performed on the show.

“There was something very magical on stage that night, and it just felt, it was very much us,” Stauss said of her favorite performance with Watson.

As for the album itself, Utah native Stauss and Los Angeles-based Watson — who are quarantining separately — were tasked to record their elements in different locations amid the coronavirus crisis.

“I had two weekends before quarantine that I was able to travel to LA to be with the [Final Rose] band while they recorded the covers,” Stauss said, noting when the shutdown occurred they “had to start and finish everything through FaceTime.”

She continued, “We recorded in different studios in different states, and in about two months.”

Despite being apart, Watson and Stauss are in constant contact.

“We’re friends, we’re romantic partners, we’re music partners and business partners, so every single day we talk about all four of those things. Sometimes it’s one more than the other,” Watson said. “We are constantly in contact.”

Stauss added she longs for the day when she and Watson can reunite.

“I can’t wait and I’m dreaming about it,” she said. “Maybe we’ll film it.”

“Chris and Bri” is available now.
