        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Niecy Nash</strong> didn&#8217;t find salvation in her church group.</p><p>In an interview for UMC.tv&#8217;s four-part docuseries &#8220;Behind Her Faith,&#8221; 50-year-old Nash opens up about how she thought joining the women&#8217;s group at her local church might help her be &#8220;delivered&#8221; from some of her problems.</p><p>&#8220;I ran from pain for a long time, and then I joined the women&#8217;s group at church and we were supposed to — the goal was to grow in your faith and become a woman of God and girl&#8230;these women want to talk about recipes,&#8221; Nash explains in a clip exclusively obtained by Page Six.</p><p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t know what was happening, and I was just like, &#8216;Well are we going to start growing? What are we doing in here because I know I got some foolishness that I need to be delivered from.&#8217; And I almost kind of messed up the group&#8230;&#8221;</p><p>The &#8220;Claws&#8221; star, who recently <strong>finalized her divorce</strong> from Jay Tucker, recalls a woman complaining about someone at work calling her &#8220;the b-word,&#8221; which appeared to irk Nash, who wanted to talk about life&#8217;s bigger issues.</p><p>&#8220;Everyone was trying to piecemeal her back together, and I was like, &#8216;I am so over this. First of all, that is exactly what you are, so stop it right now, and let me tell you what&#8217;s wrong with me, and let me tell you what&#8217;s wrong with you&#8230;and can we get to that,&#8221; she continues.</p><p>Nash&#8217;s reaction wasn&#8217;t well-received by the group, as she recalled them saying, &#8220;&#8216;She read us all for filth.&#8217;&#8221;</p><p>&#8220;I know. I&#8217;m just saying can we talk about the filthy part? &#8216;Cause that&#8217;s the part. We all got the part, and we can babysit that part,&#8221; the actress recalls.</p><p>&#8220;I just got tired of doing life the way I had been doing it,&#8221; she says, &#8220;and I didn&#8217;t feel any better for it.&#8221;</p><p>&#8220;Behind Her Faith&#8221; is now streaming on UMC.tv.</p>]]></content:encoded>
