<p>Season 4 of <strong>&#8220;The Crown&#8221;</strong> hit Netflix on November 15, bringing with it the much-anticipated introduction of Princess Diana — and her unforgettable fashion.</p>
<p>As the late Princess of Wales, Emma Corrin dons outfits modeled after the royal&#8217;s most memorable looks, from the red and gold Bellville Sassoon dress she wore to the 1981 premiere of &#8220;For Your Eyes Only&#8221; to her iconic wedding gown by David and Elizabeth Emanuel, with its 25-foot train and enormous skirt and sleeves.</p>
<p>&#8220;The Crown&#8221; costume designer Amy Roberts previously <strong>told The Post</strong> that she incorporated plenty of color into Diana&#8217;s costumes. “I wanted her clothes to be light and fresh against the more formal color palette of the palace ‘prison’ and the more subdued palettes of the other royals,” she said, adding: “A butterfly caught in a spider’s web if you like.”</p>
<p>Toward the end of Season 4, which is set in the late 1980s as her relationship with Prince Charles is in shambles, Diana adopts a more streamlined, tailored silhouette. &#8220;[We] created a more powerful, ‘armored’ look to illustrate her growing realization she would need to fight to survive,&#8221; Roberts said.</p>
<p>Even Princess Di&#8217;s signature hairstyle — <strong>expertly recreated for the series by Sam McKnight</strong>, Diana&#8217;s personal stylist for seven years until her death in 1997 — and go-to beauty look are reflected in &#8220;The Crown.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;She used blue eyeliner as an armor, applying more, the more she felt vulnerable,&#8221; hair and makeup designer Cate Hall told The Post. &#8220;We used this strategically to underpin the emotional narrative.&#8221;</p>
<p>In our latest episode of &#8220;Royal Roundtable&#8221; — and below — see how &#8220;The Crown&#8221; captured Princess Diana&#8217;s inimitable style for the screen.</p>

<p>Lady Diana Spencer paired yellow overalls with florals for Prince Charles&#8217; polo match in 1981.</p>
<figure id="attachment_5431525" class="wp-caption alignnone aligncenter"><strong><img data-src="/uploads/2020/11/20/how-8216-the-crown-8217-season-4-captured-princess-diana-8217-s-style-1.jpg" /></strong><figcaption class="wp-caption-text"><span class="credit">Netflix; Getty Images</span></figcaption></figure>
<p>The pink sweater and matching checked pants we see on Corrin in &#8220;The Crown&#8221; were modeled after a similar ensemble Diana wore while home at Highgrove House in 1986.</p>
<figure id="attachment_5431529" class="wp-caption alignnone aligncenter"><strong><img data-src="/uploads/2020/11/20/how-8216-the-crown-8217-season-4-captured-princess-diana-8217-s-style-2.jpg" /></strong><figcaption class="wp-caption-text"><span class="credit">Netflix; Getty Images</span></figcaption></figure>
<p>The Netflix team nailed the blue suit and bow-tied blouse Diana wore for her engagement photos with Prince Charles in 1981.</p>
<figure id="attachment_5431531" class="wp-caption alignnone aligncenter"><strong><img data-src="/uploads/2020/11/20/how-8216-the-crown-8217-season-4-captured-princess-diana-8217-s-style-3.jpg" /></strong><figcaption class="wp-caption-text"><span class="credit">Netflix; Getty Images</span></figcaption></figure>
<p>And the blue floral dress for her and Charles&#8217; wedding rehearsal? Spot on.</p>
<figure id="attachment_5431532" class="wp-caption alignnone aligncenter"><strong><img data-src="/uploads/2020/11/20/how-8216-the-crown-8217-season-4-captured-princess-diana-8217-s-style-4.jpg" /></strong><figcaption class="wp-caption-text"><span class="credit">Netflix; Getty Images</span></figcaption></figure>
<p>Costume designer Amy Roberts consulted with David Emanuel, half of the then-husband-and-wife design duo behind Princess Diana&#8217;s actual wedding dress, to recreate the look for Netflix.</p>
<figure id="attachment_5431534" class="wp-caption alignnone aligncenter"><strong><img data-src="/uploads/2020/11/20/how-8216-the-crown-8217-season-4-captured-princess-diana-8217-s-style-5.jpg" /></strong><figcaption class="wp-caption-text"><span class="credit">Netflix; Getty Images</span></figcaption></figure>
<p>The Princess of Wales donned this dotted red and gold Bellville Sassoon dress for the 1981 premiere of the Bond film &#8220;For Your Eyes Only.&#8221;</p>
<figure id="attachment_5431535" class="wp-caption alignnone aligncenter"><strong><img data-src="/uploads/2020/11/20/how-8216-the-crown-8217-season-4-captured-princess-diana-8217-s-style-6.jpg" /></strong><figcaption class="wp-caption-text"><span class="credit">Netflix; Getty Images</span></figcaption></figure>
<p>Roberts and her team recreated a number of looks Princess Diana wore during her 1983 royal tour of Australia with Prince Charles, including this blue ruffled Bruce Oldfield gown for a gala dinner and dance.</p>
<figure id="attachment_5431544" class="wp-caption alignnone aligncenter"><strong><img data-src="/uploads/2020/11/20/how-8216-the-crown-8217-season-4-captured-princess-diana-8217-s-style-7.jpg" /></strong><figcaption class="wp-caption-text"><span class="credit">Netflix; Getty Images</span></figcaption></figure>
<p>And this pink spotted dress by Donald Campbell and matching John Boyd hat.</p>
<figure id="attachment_5431545" class="wp-caption alignnone aligncenter"><strong><img data-src="/uploads/2020/11/20/how-8216-the-crown-8217-season-4-captured-princess-diana-8217-s-style-8.jpg" /></strong><figcaption class="wp-caption-text"><span class="credit">Netflix; Getty Images</span></figcaption></figure>
<p>Roberts and her team recreated the exact blue look Diana wore to meet the Australian Prime Minister.</p>
<figure id="attachment_5431548" class="wp-caption alignnone aligncenter"><strong><img data-src="/uploads/2020/11/20/how-8216-the-crown-8217-season-4-captured-princess-diana-8217-s-style-9.jpg" /></strong><figcaption class="wp-caption-text"><span class="credit">Netflix; Getty Images</span></figcaption></figure>
<p>This blue silk floral dress looks just as lovely on Corrin now as it did on Princess Diana in 1983.</p>
<figure id="attachment_5431550" class="wp-caption alignnone aligncenter"><strong><img data-src="/uploads/2020/11/20/how-8216-the-crown-8217-season-4-captured-princess-diana-8217-s-style-10.jpg" /></strong><figcaption class="wp-caption-text"><span class="credit">Netflix; Getty Images</span></figcaption></figure>
<p>The show even created a perfect replica of the sunny yellow Paul Costelloe frock the Princess of Wales wore to meet with lifeguards at Sydney&#8217;s Terrigal Beach during the Australia trip.</p>
<figure id="attachment_5431555" class="wp-caption alignnone aligncenter"><strong><img data-src="/uploads/2020/11/20/how-8216-the-crown-8217-season-4-captured-princess-diana-8217-s-style-11.jpg" /></strong><figcaption class="wp-caption-text"><span class="credit">Netflix; Getty Images</span></figcaption></figure>
<p>Seen toward the end of Season 4, this white gown and beaded bolero jacket is a carbon copy of the Victor Edelstein ensemble Diana actually wore during her trip to New York in 1989.</p>
