So it’s no surprise the fashion legend included a strapless version of the closet staple in her new holiday collaboration with designer (and fellow Dane) Anine Bing, which was inspired by her own ’90s style.

“I just love the way it shapes the female body,” Christensen told Page Six Style of the bodysuit. “Women have beautiful shoulders and I think it’s wonderful to show them. They go well with so many different pieces of clothing: a pair of jeans and a pair of kitten heels, a full skirt and a pair of sneakers, under an oversized shirt with flat leather sandals.”

The “Faye” bodysuit ($179) also goes perfectly with the other pieces on offer in the Anine Bing x Helena Christensen collection, including the white double-breasted “Claudia” blazer ($349) and “James” trouser ($299) or the high-rise, straight-leg “Kat” jean ($229).

For those seeking something a bit less binding for their socially distanced holiday activities, there are also options that blur the line between formalwear and sleepwear, like the black silk “Rosalie” jumpsuit ($499) and the slinky white “June” top ($279) and “Carla” pant ($249).

“I think that might be result of us both being Danish, where coziness and comfort are key words in regard to how we dress,” Christensen explained.

“Personally, I love pajamas and robes, clothes with relaxed shapes and fits. I think most people climb into soft, loose apparel whenever they step through their front door — even more so in the times we currently live in. If you can wear elegant pieces that gives you that same vibe, then that’s a winning combination.”

For Bing — whose lacy bralettes, leather moto jackets and buckled booties are a hit with beauties like Bella Hadid, Alessandra Ambrosio and Kaia Gerber — the collaboration fit right in with her signature aesthetic. (She named the bodysuit as her personal favorite piece, too.)

“Helena and I met in our West Village store in New York last year,” the designer told us. “She had been shopping there for a few years, and once I heard she was a fan of the brand, we finally had a chance to meet. Helena has perfected the model-off-duty look, which is always the inspiration behind my styling. The Anine Bing woman is timeless and effortless, which are two words that I would use to describe Helena.”

“Timeless” is certainly an apt descriptor for Christensen’s glowing skin, which she humbly attributes to her diligent daily beauty routine.

“I swear by a lot of products … mostly serums and oils,” she said. “I try to drink a lot of water, but that isn’t always easy, so I hydrate with a few spritzes of skin tonics and drops of face oils throughout the day. I adore masks for when I’m home working or cleaning.”

Christensen names Nimue Skin Technology’s Age Intelligent line and Surreal Skincare as two of her go-tos, along with Angela Caglia’s Soufflé Moisturizer ($70) and Goddess Rose Quartz Roller ($75) and Penny Frances Apothecary’s Love Rosa Facial Balm ($80) and Paradiso Body & Hair Elixir ($120).

She also swears by the “fantastic” Lumity 4-in-1 Cleanse ($72) as well as products from her esthetician, celebrity favorite Joanna Vargas; Christensen counts the Vitamin C Face Wash ($40) and “delicious” Daily Serum ($85) among her essentials.

Treatments and products from Onda Beauty and laser and microdermabrasion appointments with Dr. Anetta Reszko a few times per year round out her routine.

The word “timeless” could also describe Christensen’s personal style, which she says has stayed “more or less the same” since she got her start in the fashion industry.

“I am still a huge lover of secondhand and vintage and that’s what I mostly wear,” she explained. “I like finding interesting, quirky pieces that come with a story. I mostly wear men’s pants and a lot of sweatpants and sneakers, but I also love very poetic pieces; anything that was made by hand and is very colorful is right up my alley.”

Among her most prized vintage pieces are her traditional Peruvian polleras, full skirts adorned with intricate embroidery. “The craftsmanship is exquisite, and you feel like you’re wearing a precious piece of art,” she said.

Of course, there are a few runway treasures tucked into her closet, too: “I have a few designer dresses from the beginning of my career that I hold very dear to my heart, from Galliano, Versace and Valentino.”
