Actor Hagen Mills mistakenly believed he’d shot his former girlfriend dead before taking his own life in an ambush at her Kentucky home, according to his ex’s mother.

Mills — who has appeared in FX’s “Baskets” — shot his ex-girlfriend, Erica Price, at her Mayfield home Tuesday after begging her to get back together, her mother told the Daily Mail.

“I think he believed she was dead, as soon as she hit the floor, he shot himself,” Price’s mother, Tammy Green-Price, told the outlet.

She said she was babysitting the couple’s daughter, Mila, when 29-year-old Mills broke into the home and tied her up while he waited for Price.

“He tied my hands with duct tape. I tried to appease him but it was clear he had lost his mind,” Green-Price said.

When Price walked through the door, he held her at gunpoint and pleaded with her for a second chance, according to Green-Price.

But after looking at Price’s phone, he became angry and fired two shots at Price, who collapsed on the ground, she said.

“She ran around the corner to try to hide but collapsed. There was blood everywhere,” Green-Price told the outlet of her daughter.

Green-Price feared Mills would turn the gun on her next, but then she heard gunfire and the sound of the actor falling to the ground, the outlet reported.

“I heard the gun go off, I heard his body hitting the floor and I finally opened my eyes and realized I was alive,” she said.

Her daughter survived the shooting, suffering a gunshot wound to her right arm and a bullet lodged in her chest.

“The important thing is that my daughter is going to be OK. She’s stable but in isolation because of COVID,” Green-Price told the Mail.

Green-Price said Mills dated her daughter for two years, but couldn’t accept their relationship was over when Price moved from Los Angeles back to her home state of Kentucky.

“He was obsessed with her. He was stalking her. I don’t know how much the police know because she was a very private person,” Green-Price said.

Mayfield police said they are investigating Tuesday’s incident as an attempted murder-suicide.
