After Canadian lifestyle blogger Sasha Exeter accused the stylist and Meghan Markle BFF of exhibiting “textbook white privilege” and “very problematic behavior,” ABC is cutting ties, as first reported by the Daily Mail.

“[Mulroney] is stepping away from her professional engagements and that includes Good Morning America,” the ABC show’s Twitter account shared on Friday. “She will no longer appear on our show.”

The fashion star joined “GMA” as a contributor in October 2018, and hosted regular fashion segments for the show.

In an Instagram video posted Wednesday, Exeter alleged that Mulroney used “her wealth, her perceived power and privilege” to intimidate her and potential business deals, even claiming that the stylist sent her a written threat.

Mulroney apologized to the So Sasha blogger in the comments, but according to a screenshot Exeter shared, she then direct-messaged her threatening to sue for libel.

The stylist, whose husband Ben is the son of former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, later shared an apologetic statement on Instagram, admitting that Exeter “rightfully” called her out “for not doing enough when it came to engaging in the important and difficult conversation around race and injustice in our society.”

Mulroney promised to “do better” in the future, and announced she would step away from her social media accounts in order to spotlight black creatives in her industry and “take this time to reflect.”

Following Exeter’s accusations, Canadian network CTV announced it would pull Mulroney’s wedding series “I Do, Redo” from all channels and platforms “effective immediately,” adding that the host’s conduct conflicted with CTV’s “commitment to diversity and equality.”

Canadian department store Hudson’s Bay, which had employed Mulroney as a fashion and bridal specialist since 2014, announced it was also severing ties on Thursday.

A rep for “Good Morning America” did not immediately respond to Page Six Style’s request for further comment.
