Dave Gettleman’s nine-spot drop in the first round netted the Giants another wide receiver with the No. 20 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Gettleman, who snapped up a 2022 first-rounder and two other mid-round picks while trading down from No. 11 with Chicago, added speedy Florida wide receiver Kadarius Toney to provide another outside weapon for third-year quarterback Daniel Jones.

The Eagles had leapfrogged the Giants earlier in the night to grab Heisman Trophy-winning wide receiver DeVonta Smith out of Alabama, following a trade with Dallas for the No. 10 pick.

Toney caught 70 passes for 984 yards (14.1 per reception) and 10 touchdowns in 11 games for the Gators as a senior last season. He joins an offensive core that features $72 million free-agent signing Kenny Golladay, Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton, along with tight end Evan Engram and expected-to-return running back Saquon Barkley.
